AVOCA AOH TO MEET THURSDAY
There will be an AVOCA AOH meeting concerning the upcoming Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m. at the West Side Social Club, McAlpine Street, Avoca.
VFW AUXILIARY TO HOLD MEETING
Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 8335 will not have a regular monthly meeting in July.
In lieu of the meeting the Ladies will have a covereddish dinner at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at the post home, 915 Main St. Following dinner a Bingo party will be enjoyed by all members.
The next meeting will be August 5 with Mary Ann Tigue, Sandy Rosser, and Louise Bartush as hostesses. Newly elected officers will begin their 2013-14 term at this meeting.
AVOCA LIONS CLUB
TO HAVE FOOD BANK
Avoca Lions Club will be having a food bank from 4-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 at Bethel United Methodist Church, Main Street, Avoca. Volunteers needed at 1:30 p.m. to unload the truck and please bring boxes.
