In the District 2 AAA Doubles Championship Tournament Pittston Area’s Terry Briggs-Jeremy Homschek won a first round match 6-3, 6-3 over Stephen Sposito-Kevin Nardella of North Pocono. In the second round Briggs-Homeschek lost 6-2, 6-1 to Ross Gladey-Alex Machalick from Crestwood.
PA twins Trent Woodruff and Tyler Woodruff had a first-round bye and then lost to Reed Evans-Billy Reese of Wallenpaupak in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3
In AA doubles two Wyoming Area teams lost in the first round. Tom Rose-Aaron Carter lost to Chris Kim-William Xu from Wyoming Seminary, 6-0, 6-0.
