The Avoca Neighborhood Crime Watch, Avoca Lions Club and Ancient Order of Hibernians of Avoca will sponsor a spring clean up for Main Street from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27. PennDOT will supply all materials needed.
Anyone interested in helping with the project is asked to call Rich at 457-5633, Jim at 457-8446 or Gene at 457-0776.
The next meeting of the Avoca Neighborhood Watch will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at the town hall. Guest speaker will be former Pittston mayor Mike Lombardo, a member of the Pittston City Redevelopment Authority. With15 years experience, Lombardo will speak on revitalization of a community.
