The finals are set.
Bassler Equipment will play Atlas Realty in a best-of-five series to determine the 2013 Yatesville bocce league champion. To reach the finals, both teams had to survive a best-of-three series.
Bassler Equipment played Cuz’s Bar & Grill. They split the first two matches with identical scores of 12-8. The third and deciding game went the distance with Bassler winning 12-10. The first-half champs of the Bassler Equipment team are Paul Santarelli, Henry Korpusik, Bob Barbacci and Henry Rodegherio.
The second-half championship was decided between Atlas Realty and Bassler Equipment. The realtors won game one 12-8 and game two 12-7 to move into the finals. The Atlas Realty team is Joe Chiumento, Charlie Adonizio, Phil Bosha and Doc Campanella.
The championship matches will be played Wednesday starting at 6:30 p.m. On Sept. 22, the league will host the annual Yatesville Fall Classic Bocce Tournament. Anyone interested in fielding a team or being a sponsor can call Guy DePascale Sr. at 908-763-8166.
