The Colleen Shea Children’s Foundation recently celebrated its 10th anniversary by donating a family transportation van to the Ronald McDonald House in Scranton.

The Ronald McDonald House utilizes the van to transport family members to nearby hospitals to visit their children who are hospitalized. The van was presented to Richard Bradshaw, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House in Scranton, at the foundation’s 10th anniversary celebration at the Fox Hill Country Club in Exeter.

The Colleen Shea Children’s Foundation was established following the tragic death of Colleen Shea, a Hughestown native, in an automobile accident in October 2001. The foundation’s mission is “to help serve the needs of children through charitable fundraising and community service.”
