It was quite a sight to see former Wyoming Area Warrior high school players not in their familiar green and gold uniforms but wearing the actual red, white and blue of their rival Pittston Area Patriots.
That was the seen at Bear Stadium in Boyertown for the American Legion State tournament.
Greater Pittston, ade up of players from Wyoming Area and Pittston Area, wore Patriot uniforms for the tourney.
The team copped the Wyoming Valley and Region 5 championships before heading to states where they aquitted themselves well before being eliminated.
Jerry Zezza, parent of player Jordan Zezza, provided photos of the GP team in the PA uniforms and one of the players shaking hands following their high school game against each other.
