Kaminski running for Pittston Township supervisor

David Kaminski announces his candidacy for Pittston Township supervisor in the May 2013 Primary Election as a Democrat.

Kaminski is the son of the late George and Ann Kaminski, of Dupont. He is married to Martina (Tomaszewski) Kaminski and has two sons, David F. Kaminski, 26, and Nicholas J. Kaminski, 24. He and his wife built a home on West Chapman Street and moved into the township in July 1989.

A graduate of Scranton Prep High School and Bloomsburg University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management, Kaminski, 53, is currently employed as a construction inspector for Reilly Associates, of Pittston. He is a partner in BRT Ice, L.P., Scranton. He was also employed by Kaminski Brothers, Inc. from 1978 to 2000.

He is a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, as well as a past president and current treasurer of its Holy Name Society. He is a past treasurer of the Pittston Area Patriots Football Booster Club.

He coached Little League Baseball in Pittston Township for 11 years and is a former member of its board of directors. He is also a past member of the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He has been a member of the Pittston Township Recreation Board for the past 15 years.
