The Friends of the West Pittston Library held their Second Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Sunday. Approximately 100 people attended the event where all enjoyed an afternoon of wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres and deserts. Ray Bartolai from Bartolai Winery in Harding hosted the event.
“It’s a very good fund raiser; the major fundraiser for the library and all the funds go towards rehabilitating the library,” said event chair Edythe Kepics. The event was co-chaired by Jasmine Mikita.
“This event seems more successful than last year’s,” said Anne Bramblett-Barr, head librarian. “The Friends of the Library put a lot of effort into the event and do a beautiful job and it’s nice to see people come to the library and see it in a different way.”
Guests came from far and wide to attend the event.
“We’re hoping to do this every year,” concluded Bramblett-Barr.
