The Oblates of St. Joseph Congregation is planning their annual Triduum and special Labor Day Mass honoring St. Joseph the Worker over the Labor Day weekend at their seminary chapel, located on Route 315, Laflin.

Masses will be held each evening at 7 p.m. from August 30 to September 1, with devotions to the patron saint of laborers immediately following.

Confessions and praying of the rosary will precede each evening Mass.

Guest celebrant and preacher for this year’s triduum will be Rev. Matthew Spencer, OSJ, rector of Mount Saint Joseph Seminary, Loomis, CA.

A special Mass will be held on Labor Day morning at the chapel beginning at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by the Oblate Fathers.

Principal celebrant and homilist will be Very Rev. Paul A. McDonnell, OSJ, provincial superior of the Oblate USA province.

Liturgical music will be provided by the St. Joseph Marello parish choir of Pittston.

Following the Mass, bread will be blessed and distributed to all the faithful as the symbol of the fruit of our labor.
