Fashion show to aid breast cancer charities

They’re in the pink.

The Sapphire Salon & Destination Spa on South Main Street in Pittston will host a charity fashion show on Sept. 29 with proceeds going toward fighing breast cancer. The event is from 5 to 7 p.m.

Pittston natives and owners Angie and Larry Morgan invite the local community to participate in Sapphire Goes Pink, A Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in conjunction with the American Cancer Society.

Food will be provided by Parente’s Italian American Restaurant and beverages by Susquehanna Brewing Company.

The guest emcee will be Amanda from The Jumpin Jeff Walker Show on 98.5 KRZ-FM and she will lead the night’s event’s featuring a Fall Fashion Show, door prizes, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres

Tickets are $20 must be purchased in advance through The Sapphire Salon & Spa by calling 602-7700.

All proceeds to be donated to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, an organization that supplies funds to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton are.

Big Top Tents is also a sponsor.

An after party will be held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Cooper’s Seafood Waterfront Cabana on Kennedy Boulevard in Pittston. A percentage of the after party proceeds to be donated to the American Cancer Society.
