Falls Active Adults Center
The Falls Active Adult Center sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne/Wyoming counties invites anyone 55+ to the following activites:
Mondays: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wii bowling competition with Tunkhannock Center,(alternating sites.)
Mondays: 1 p.m.to 2 p.m. Crocheting Club (all levels welcome.)
Tuesdays & Fridays: 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. “Healthy Steps” exercise program.
Wednesdays: 10 a.m.to 10:45 a.m. Walking group
Wednesdays: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Garden Club
Tuesdays: Brain games at lunch
Thursdays: Nutrition talk at lunch

Pittston Senior Center
Reservations are now open for the following trip: “A Day in the Country” in the Heart of Pocono Mountains on Friday, August 23. This trip includes motorcoach transportation; a one hour fully narrated Historic sightseeing fully enclosed trolley tour, luncheon choice of beef, chicken or ﬁsh and the show “All Shook Up” at the Shawnee Playhouse. Cost is $75.
An AARP Safe Driving Program will be offered at the Center on Tuesday, June 25 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Registration is necessary by calling -the center at 655-5561. Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. This is a four-hour refresher course that is being offered.
Completing thiscourse will entitle you to a discount of at least 5% off your car insurance. Check with your insurance
company for exact discount.
On Wednesday, June 26 the center will be closing at 11 a.m. Italian Day will be rescheduled at a later day. Bag lunches will be available for pick-up from 10 to 11:00 a.m.
Lunch reservations must be made at least one day in advance by 1 p.m. by calling the Center at 655-S561.
Senior Nutrition Vouchers
The Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne/Wyoming Counties announces participants of the 2013 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Voucher Program. This year the Kingston Active Adult Center’s distribution will be held at 680 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, not 335 Third Ave. For further information please contact Linda Kohut @ 822-1158.
