The Greater Pittston YMCA held a Summer Palooza mixer at Palazzo 53 last Sunday to raise money for their scholarship program. Approximately 60-supporters stopped by for food, fun and conversation.

“I think the mixer is great exposure for the “Y” and Palazzo is a great place to feature it,” said Leo Sperrazza, a 30-year member of the YMCA along with his wife Lu-Ann and daughter Angela. Sperrazza, a former “Y” board member, can be frequently seen at such events. “We always participate whenever the “Y” has a fundraiser; we try to do whatever we can to support their cause.”

Guest volunteer bartenders were doing their best to keep up with the steady stream of supporters all evening. Among the bartenders were: Atty. Jerry Mecadon, Atty. Alexandra Kokora, Pittston councilman, Michael Lombardo, Hilary Steinberg of Jaya Yoga, Clarks Summit, Sarah Donahue, and tech consultant Bob Sofanelli of Scranton.
