Helen Wohlgezogen, 89, of Avoca, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at her home, lovingly taken care of by her granddaughter, Melanie, as she battled breast cancer.
She was born in Worcester, Mass., on July 26, 1923, a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Josephine Dewicki.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz Wohlgezogen, who died on July 15, 2002; and 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen and her children, Melanie, Nicholas, Adriana and Alison; Veronica and her children, Ronald Jr., April and Ryan; Lisa and Criss Guy and their son, Criss Jr.; and Heidi and her children, Julia, Bethany, Nathaniel and Joshua; three great-grandchildren, Avani, Inicci and Taniah; her brother, Stanley Dewicki, Colorado; sisters, Honey Sansouci, Connecticut, and Waly Wallzag, Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., Duryea.
