Aritz announces candidacy for WA school director

Sam Aritz has announced his candidacy for Wyoming Area school director.

Aritz and his wife, Karen Campenni Aritz, are the parents of two daughters, Ashley and Alyssa. All four family members graduated from Wyoming Area School District.

Aritz, of Exeter, resided in West Pittston most of his life. After graduating in 1969, he attended journeyman school and entered the work force as a union carpenter. He was employed for the past 24 years by The University of Scranton.

A previous four-year member of the Wyoming Area School Board, Aritz is currently a member of St. Barbara’s Parish in Exeter and the Moose Lodge in West Pittston. He served as vice president of the Cheerleading Parents Association and vice president of the Wyoming Area Swim Parents Association.
