Nicole Rochelle Pierson and Brian Reese were united in marriage Nov. 7 at the Chapel of Christ the King, King’s College, Wilkes-Barre. Fr. Thomas P. Looney officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Diane Pierson, of Port Griffith. She is the granddaughter of Ann Pierson, of Port Griffith, and the late Joseph R. Pierson and the late Dominick and Arlis Panetta.

The groom is the son of Richard and Doreen Reese, of Hughestown. He is the grandson of Veronica Reese, of Duryea, and the late William Reese and Geraldine Dzanis, of Wilkes-Barre, and the late William Dzanis.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose her sister, Victoria Pierson, as her maid of honor. The groom chose his best friend, Michael Ruth, as his best man.

Scriptural readings were given by Jacqueline Brown, godmother and aunt of the bride. Gifts were presented by John Pierson, godfather and uncle of the bride, and Diane Williamson, godmother and aunt of the groom.

The bride was honored at a bridal shower hosted by her mother and sister at Andy’s Diner in Plains. The rehearsal dinner was held at Rodano’s in Wilkes-Barre. A reception luncheon was held at the Gallery at the Pierce Street Deli in Kingston.

The bride is a 2009 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She is a 2013 graduate of King’s College with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a 2014 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a master’s degree in library and information science. She is employed by the West Pittston Library.

The groom is also a 2009 graduate of Pittston Area High School. He is a 2013 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in information sciences and technology. He is employed by the Pennsylvania State University.

The couple honeymooned in Puerto Rico and resides in Duryea.
