Nichole Marie Oliveri and James Joseph Norris were united in marriage on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston by Fr. John Shearer.
The bride is the daughter of Nazarro and Gail Oliveri, of Avoca. She is the granddaughter of the late Nazarro and Virginia Oliveri and the late John and Geraldine Gorzkowski.
The groom is the son of Frances Norris, of Pittston, and the late James Norris. He is the grandson of the late Mary-Louise and James Norris and the late Frank J. and Carmella Castellino.
The bride was given away by her father. Her maid of honor was her best friend, Nicole Tonte. Bridesmaids were Danielle Green and Jessica Norris, sisters of the groom.
The best man was John Oliveri, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Phillip Castellino and Carmen Castellino, cousins of the groom.
The flower girl and ring bearer were Ava Woods and Jordan Tonte.
The bride and groom are both 2001 graduates of Pittston Area High School. The bride is a 2007 graduate of Misericordia University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She received her master’s degree from Wilkes University in 2013 in early childhood literacy. She is currently employed by TMG Health.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Lehigh University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He is currently employed by Palmer Holland and serves as the Pittston Area High School head football coach.
An outdoor ceremony and evening reception were also held on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at Stroudsmoor Country Inn in Stroudsburg. After the football season, the couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They reside in Jenkins Township.
