David and Rita Pahl of Jenkins Township will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 23. They were married in 1966 in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Hughestown with the Rev. Robert F. Sauers officiating.
Rita is the daughter of the late Russell and Rita Hensley, and David is the son of the late Grace and Joseph Vaiksnis and Charles Pahl.
David is currently enjoying retirement after spending over 50 years in the food service industry working for various companies as a food service director.
Rita was an office manager at Zayre’s Department Store and assistant manager at Office Max. She now enjoys working at Gerrity’s Supermarket in West Pittston.
They are the parents of Tracy (Dean) Carey, Exeter; and Terri (John) Amici, Havre de Grace, Maryland. They have been blessed with five grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, and Lindsay Carey, and David and Christian Amici.
A family party will be held to celebrate the occasion.
