Joseph J. Cordora and Diane (Dee) Cordora of Swoyersville are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7. Beginning 40 years of loving caring and sharing, the couple was married Aug. 7, 1976 at St. Joseph’s Church in Wyoming. Maureen Dooley was maid of honor and Anthony Dominic was best man.

The couple will celebrate their anniversary with a family dinner at Aca Mia Restaurant, Walnutport. They enjoy going to movies, walking and, more than anything, spending time with their grandchildren.

Joseph and Dee met at the Colonel’s Garden in the Narrows Shopping Center. Since getting married, Joseph and Dee’s early adventures together took them to many places, but they had eventually moved into their forever home in October 1977 in Swoyersville.

The couple have a daughter, Sarah (Cordora) Lispi and a son-in-law, Lee Lispi of Exeter. They have two grandchildren, Aria, 4, and Enzo, 3. They have another grandchild due in early December.
