Edward and Diane Suchecki, Pittston Township, are pleased to announce the marriage of their son Kevin to Patrycja Zawadka, of Wrocław, Poland. The wedding took place in Urząd małżeństwa Dolnośląskiego, Wrocław, Poland.
Patrycja is the daughter of Irena and Jan Zawadka, Poland.
The groom is the grandson of the late Elizabeth and Lawrence Kelly, and of the late Helen and Joseph Suchecki.
Marta Młynarska, France, cousin of the bride was maid of honor. Patrick Zawadka, Poland, brother of the bride was best man.
A traditional Polish wesele was held at the mother of the bride’s home in Tamaszowska, Poland. The bride wore a traditional Góral szal of the Zakopane region of southern Poland, as well as a wreath of the national colors of her homeland.
The bride is a graduate of Uniwersytet Wrocławski, with a masters degree in linguistics and education.
The groom is a graduate of Pittston Area and Bloomsburg University with a degree in criminal justice. He is a veteran of the Global War on Terror and a member of the United States Army Reserves Military Police, Ashley.
The couple spent their honeymoon in the bride’s homeland and the groom’s great-grandparents’ country of origin, Poland.
