Greater Pittston Charity Train Ride to Jim Thorpe set for Sept. 13

DURYEA — The Greater Pittston Charity Train Ride railroad excursion to Jim Thorpe will be Sunday, Sept. 13. The train will depart at 9 a.m. from Stevenson Street and return at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Upon arrival in Jim Thorpe, passengers will have the opportunity to browse the many specialty shops and restaurants sprinkled throughout this historic town.

This is the seventh year for the train ride and every year is a sell out with over 600 people making the trip. This fundraiser benefits three charities in the Greater Pittston area.

Tickets are $75 each. Checks should be made payable and sent to the Greater Pittston Charity Train Ride c/o the Greater Pittston YMCA, 10 N. Main St., Pittston, PA 18640.
