WILKES-BARRE — One man was arrested after a shooting Thursday at Parkview Circle in the Sherman Hills apartment complex off Coal Street, according to city police.

Police charged Kareem Owens, 34, of North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, originally from Brooklyn, New York, with two counts of aggravated assault and a single count of reckless endangerment. He was arraigned Friday by District Judge Joseph Halesey in Hanover Township. Owens was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $150,000 bail.

Owens was arrested after a brief struggle with officers.

Residents said the incident happened after a collision of two vehicles in the parking lot near the 300 building of the complex, after which an argument ensued at about 7:40 p.m.
