Wednesday, Sept. 30, will be “Short Term Missions Night.” The rally will begin at 7:15 p.m. and featured speaker will be Mr. Dwaine Flemmens, a layman from York County.
At 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, “Ethnic Outreach Night” will be held and featured speaker will be Rev. Abraham Sandler, of the “Awake O Israel” Jewish Ministry who will share work that is currently taking place in sharing Jesus with Jew and Gentile alike, here and abroad.
At 7:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, “Eastern PA Church Planting Night” will be held. Rev. Alan Rathbun, Director of Eastern PA Church Planting will lead a video tour of the 15 churches that are currently in some process of being started in Eastern Pennsylvania.
Saturday, Oct. 3 will be “World Missions Day” and will feature Rev. Jordan and Heather Irvin, career missionaries in Russia. The events of the day begin with a men’s breakfast at 8:30 a.m., with Rev. Irvin as the speaker. At noon the women will have a luncheon with Mrs. Irvin. There will be an adult/teen challenge at 5 p.m. with the Great West Pittston Bible Challenge, moderated by Anne Marie Roberts. Teams of men, women, and teens will take the challenge. There is also a children’s rally with Rev. and Mrs. Irvin. A “Build-Your-Own Burger” meal will follow at 6 p.m. The evening rally will be held at 7 p.m. featuring Rev. and Mrs. Irvin, along with special music and drama. At 8:30 p.m. there will be a teen afterglow when the teens can interact with the missionaries.
Sunday, Oct. 4 will be the closing events at 10:30 a.m. with the children and teens participating in a “Parade of Nations” in full costume. Speakers for this rally will be Rev. and Mrs. Irvin. The rally will include special music and drama, a visit from some puppets, and excerpts from the Alliance Video Magazine of missions work that is taking place around the world. The conference will close with an “international covered dish dinner” with everyone bringing a favorite dish from their ethnic background to share. There will be child-care provided during the evening and Sunday morning rallies.

A bus pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts in celebration of the Feast Day of St. Mary Faustina will take place on Monday, Oct. 5. The bus will depart from the Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary at 7 a.m. with an estimated arrival time of 11 a.m. to the shrine.
Cost is $63 per person and will include the bus trip, entrance fee to the shrine, a full course dinner at Michael’s Restaurant and the bus driver’s tip.
