Toni Valenti of West Pittston is a candidate for school director in the Wyoming Area School District

Valenti is a graduate of Saint John the Evangelist High School and is employed as office manager for Cenera Auto Parts, West Pittston.

Valenti served 20 years on the Wyoming Area School Board, where she held the positions of president, secretary and treasurer.

She represented Wyoming Area for four years on the Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 board and was elected the first female president.

Valenti served on the West Side Career and Technical Center board and was legislative representative for both the Wyoming Area and West Side Career and Technical Center boards. She was on the strategic planning committee at Wyoming Area and represented the board at the Parents Awareness Group meetings.

Valenti is a member of Corpus Christi Church (formally Immaculate Conception Church) and its Altar and Rosary Society, where she served as president for three years. She has been involved in Scouting for the past 31 years, serving as Den Mother for eight years and chairperson of Cub Scout Pack 302 for the past 23 years. She is treasurer of the West Pittston Cherry Blossom Committee, helped organize the West Pittston/Pittston July 4th celebration, former member of the board of directors of the Luzerne County Transit Authority.

Valenti is a member of the Exeter Lions Club where she was the first female member and the first female president. She is currently serving another term as president of the Exeter Lions.

She served as president of the Wyoming Area Basketball Parents Organization, chairperson of the 1990 Wyoming Area All Nite Party, was involved with the West Pittston Little League for 14 years, serving as president of the Little League Ladies Auxiliary and secretary of the Little League Board of Directors.

Valenti is the daughter of the late Albino and Antoinette Forlenza Ciampi. She is married to Faust Valenti and they are the proud parents of a son, Michael, who is married to the former Mara Pagnotti. They are both graduates of Wyoming Area and owners of Michael Valenti’s Restaurant, Exeter. Toni Valenti has two grandchildren, Nina and Julia.
