Father Verespy will be the homilist for the service. During the service, a collection will be taken for the Greater Pittston Food Pantry. A social will be held in the Holy Mother of Sorrows Church hall following the service.

Pierogi making will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 and continue to 4 p.m. each day through Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Food is being collected for the Greater Pittston Food Bank to help make holiday dinners. Offerings of dry food items and canned goods can be brought to mass the weekends each weekend until Nov. 15. CCD students can bring their offerings to class. Outside of mass times, leave offerings on the rear porch of the rectory.
