PITTSTON — Members of the Northeast Pennsylvania Land Bank Authority approved two intergovernmental cooperation agreements at the authority’s quarterly meeting on Wednesday.

One of the agreements is with Luzerne County and the other with the Wyoming Area School Board.

The agreements, according to Land Bank Executive Director Joe Chacke, talk about how the land bank will share tax revenue with the county and the school board and how it will help all sides communicate with one another on property purchases.

“When properties go back on the tax rolls, for a period of five years we’re going to share the revenue in order for the land bank to continue its mission,” he said. “It also spells out other agreements such as us providing them financial information, and notifying them when we’re going to go buy a property, so they have the ability to comment on it.”

Chacke said the authority had been working on getting these agreements with the county and school board done for almost a year.

• A motion for a land bank municipality to be a sponsor for a Local Share Account Grant for 2016.
