The Martin L Mattei Middle School, in conjunction with the Luzerne County Reading Council, conducted a book drive to benefit the Ronald McDonald House, St. Joseph’s Center and St. Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen and Veteran’s Center. Several hundred books were collected as a result of donations from students, staff members and reading council members.
