Weekend weather calls for sunshine

The National Weather Service forecasts a mostly sunny Saturday for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area.

The morning starts out chilly with temperatures in the 20s and will climb to a high near 36. Winds will be out of the southwest between 6 and 13 mph.

Evening skies will be partly cloudy with a low around 29. Winds will continue to blow out of southwest between 8 and 11 mph.

Sunday looks to be the better day of the weekend with mostly sunny skies and a high near 52.
