No major traffic issues expected to hamper Easter commute

Interstate 81

Minor areas of congestion could slow down your Easter Sunday commute, but expect roads and highways to be mostly free of sluggish traffic.

No congestion is reported on Interstates 81 and 80, as well as the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Motorists can expect the same on Routes 315 and 309.

Expect some slow moving traffic on Wyoming Avenue in Kingston and William Street in Pittston.

In Wilkes-Barre, slight congestion could be encountered near Mohegan Sun Arena and on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Carey Avenue appears to have areas of congestion as well.
