WEST PITTSTON — Alorah Colwell, West Pittston, received a $2,000 Grand Lodge Higher Education Fund Four Year Scholarship from the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation, which is a charitable extension of the Grand Lodge of Masons in Pennsylvania.

Colwell is eligible as a granddaughter of Norman Colwell, a member of Saint John’s Lodge No. 233 and she was selected from 148 applicants for this scholarship.

She recently graduated from Wyoming Area High School and she will attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a freshman with a major in early childhood education/special education and a minor in business management.
