SCRANTON — Dunkin’ Donuts of Northeastern Pennsylvania announced Wednesday, July 13 will be the seventh annual Iced Coffee Day to support Saint Joseph’s Center with a one-day, in-store fundraiser. Over the past seven years, Dunkin’ Donuts has raised more than $186,000 for the local organization.

On Wednesday, all 73 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the region will offer a free medium iced coffee to customers who make a donation of $1 or more to WNEP’s Go Joe 19 Bike Ride to support Saint Joseph’s Center. WNEP’s Morning Meteorologist Joe Snedeker will pedal from Thomas Jefferson’s Plantation Home, Monticello, in Central Virginia, to Saint Joseph’s Summer Festival, arriving on the grounds of Marywood University on July 29.

The funds raised will directly support Saint Joseph’s Center’s mission to provide individuals and families with special needs the opportunity to develop their abilities and potential to the fullest extent possible.

Saint Joseph’s Center began in 1888 in response to the needs of families for whom the condition of poverty was so great. Over the years, it has maintained its commitment to families in need, especially at the time of the birth of a child. Walsh Manor is a residential shelter for pregnant women who are experiencing homelessness. The Mother Infant Program provides a home and support for mothers with infant children. Saint Joseph’s also offers adoption services and a large baby pantry, open to the public.
