The annual picnic will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 and Friday Aug. 4 and will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. Entertainment includes Doubleshot from 7 to 11 p.m. on Aug. 3 and 4 and Joe Stanky and the Cadets from 7 to 11 p.m. Aug. 5. Foods being offered include pierogi, pigs in a blanket, halushki, kielbasi, potato pancakes, pizza, hot dogs, sausage and more. Non-perishable foods and paper goods are being collected for the picnic food baskets: canned goods, condiments, pasta, coffee/tea, etc. Donations should be brought to the church hall.

Theme basket donations are being accepted for raffle at this year’s annual picnic. Themes include baby baskets, pets, entertainment, lottery trees, holiday, yard/garden, tools, fitness, summertime fun, toys and more. Baskets can be dropped off at the church hall from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as before and after all weekend Masses.

The annual parish quilt raffle is underway with a quilt made by parishioner Lorraine Harmanos. The quilt has 3 million stitches. Tickets are $2 each, or three for $5. Tickets can be purchased from Lorraine or members of the Women’s Society. The drawing for the quilt raffle will take place at the parish picnic Aug. 5.

The annual bazaar will be held from Thursday, Aug. 10 to Saturday, Aug. 12 on the church grounds. Hours of operation are from 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 4 and 5 and from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 6. Food includes halushki, potato pancakes, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheesesteaks, porketta, pulled pork, apple pie, fried dough and funnel cake. Featured entertainment this year will include Hillbilly D’Lux, Emerald Isle Irish Step Dancers, Sweet Pepper and the Long Hots, Pat Ward Magic Show and Flaxy Morgan. There will also be children’s games and a holiday booth that includes decorations for different holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day and others.

The Greater Pittston Kids Clothes Closet is open from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays.

The Care and Concern Free Health Clinic is open every Wednesday and is free of charge. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. in the former Seton Catholic High School and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Patients for The Pediatric Health Clinic opens at 4:30 p.m. on the first Thursday and third Thursday of the month at the Care and Concern facility, 37 William St. Children’s immunization records are required upon registration. Parents or guardians must be present to have their child examined. All services are free and confidential.
