WEST PITTSTON — The National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) has announced that Michael J. Cefalo, of the Cefalo and Associates law firm, has successfully achieved recertification as a civil and criminal trial advocate.

Cefalo has been a member of NBTA for 25 years.

Cefalo is part a growing number of trial attorneys that have illustrated their commitment to bettering the legal profession by successfully completing a rigorous application process and providing the consumer of legal services with an objective measure by which to choose qualified and experienced legal counsel.

Board certification is the highest, most stringent, and most reliable honor an attorney can achieve. Board certifications are the only distinctions awarded by non-profit organizations. The NBTA as well as all board certifying organizations are committed to safeguarding the public’s ability to choose a good attorney.

Cefalo earned his undergraduate degree in English from Widener University. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. Mr. Cefalo is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. He has been involved in hundreds of actions including Kids for Cash and McDonald’s Debit Pay Cards and Blue and Cross Blue Shield Premium litigation. He is a member of the Luzerne County Bar Association, the Lackawanna County Bar Association, American Association of Justice.
