Joseph and Andrea Menichello McFarland, Old Forge, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept.9. They were married Sept. 9, 1967 in St Mary’s Church in Old Forge by the Rev. James Gallagher.
Andrea is the daughter of Helen and the late Albert Menichello. Joseph is the son of the late Joseph and Mary McFarland.
They were attended by Francis Noone, best man; James McFarland, brother of the groom; the late Paul Menichello, brother of the bride; Marianne Menichello Bell, maid of honor and sister of the bride; Joan McFarland Stauffer, sister of the groom; and Diane Sabetta, cousin of the bride.
The couple have 10 children — Sean and wife Jessica, of Frederick, Maryland; Joseph and wife Misty, of Frisco, Texas; Michele Galluzzo and husband Steve,n of Mantua, New Jersey; Jonathan and wife Melissa, of Corona, California; Christopher and wife Tammy, of Old Forge; Maryellen Zona and husband Keith, of Collierville, Tennessee; Maria White and husband Gregory, of Pittston; Stephen, of San Francisco, California; Eric and wife Kristen, of Olyphant; and Andrea, of Old Forge.
The couple also has 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The couple celebrated the occasion with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church and a family gathering at the Gramercy in Pittston, the same location where they celebrated their wedding. All 10 of their children were able to celebrate the occasion with them.
