AVOCA — The V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 8335 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 at the post home, 915 Main St..
President June Fitzgerald will preside over the meeting.
The new District President Mary Lloyd will inspect the auxiliary at this meeting.
Patricia Bartnicki, Ann Marie and James Carroll will be the hosts.
Plans will be finalized for the upcoming V.A. Bingo and Halloween social that will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Monetary donations can be mailed to V.A. Medical Center, 111 East End Blvd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711.
Members will leave the post at 5 p.m. and transportation will be provided for anyone requiring it.
New members interested in joining the auxiliary may join at this time.
