The Pittston Area High School Spanish Department recently sponsored a t-shirt sale and dress down day to benefit the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The t-shirt design was an original creation by senior student Raymond Cruz, who is from Puerto Rico. Nearly 100 shirts were sold to students and staff. Bracelets with motivational Spanish words imprinted on them were also sold. The proceeds, totaling over $800 will be donated to the relief efforts as Puerto Rico continues to rebuild after the devastating hurricane.
