Action Lift, Inc. receives award
PITTSTON — Crown Equipment Corporation, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, recently celebrated its 2015 best performing company-owned branches and independent dealers in North America at an annual award program.
Action Lift, Inc. in Pittston earned the prestigious James F. Dicke Pioneer Award as the company’s top-performing dealer. In addition to the Pioneer award, Crown presented Action Lift with the Summit Award for outstanding achievements in sales and customer satisfaction. The company selected winners from its North American network of more than 100 branches and dealers.
Residents graduate
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Wyoming resident Amanda Kowalek and Pittston resident Joseph Baurys both recently graduated from Western New England University.
Kowalek graduated with a Juris Doctor while Baurys of graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering. Baurys was also named to the president’s list for the spring 2016 semester.

NANTICOKE — Two Greater Pittston residents recently completed their studies in the Luzerne County Community College 2016 Nursing Class.

SCRANTON —Peter Kulick, Pittston, and Nicholas Chaump, West Pittston, were two of 24 University of Scranton students to participate in the 2016 Institue of Electrical and Electronics (IEEE) Region 2 Student Activities Conference held at Cleveland State University of Ohio.
University of Scranton students took first, second and third place honors at the competition.
