Butera attends program at Harvard
Peter Butera, a junior at Wyoming Area Secondary Center, recently participated in the People to People Ambassador program held at Harvard University.
As part of this Leadership Summit program, Butera was joined by students from around the world. During this interactive program the students focused on challenges and goals in a highly competitive society. Another part of the program required the students to perform community service in the Boston area.
Butera also had to opportunity to present his community service action plan to both his peers and advisors. Butera is the son of Atty. Michael and Mary Butera, West Pittston.
Werbin named to dean’s list
Eric Werbin, West Pittston, was named to the dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the 2015 spring semester by maintaining a grade-point average minimum of 3.0.
Werbin studies cognitive science.
