PITTSTON — Dancers from the Pittston David Blight Studio recently competed at Talent Olympics at Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony.
The Junior Mints competed in the 13-15 age group and won first place in novelty, jazz, pantomime and hip-hop. The team placed second in tap.
The Sugar Babies competed in the 3-6 age group and won first place in tap and novelty. They placed second in jazz.
The dancers also received special awards at the competition. The Junior Mints received the Personality Award for their pantomime dance. Briana Chikowski received the Sassy Dancer Award for her solo jazz dance. Amara Musto received the Funk Award for her solo hip-hop dance. The entire ensemble received the Merit Award for their production number.
The dancers are instructed by Lindsey Reichard, Cassie Cerulli and Rachel Leandri. Reichard received the Stage Presence Award.
