Rain will stay away from another forecast with a high near 80 degrees today with a calm wind later this afternoon.

At 6:53 a.m., the National Weather Service reported it was 50 degrees at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Rain is not in the forecast through Sunday.

The sun will dissipate this evening and turn partly cloudy with a low near 55 with a light east wind.

Friday becomes mostly sunny with a high hear 72. A partly cloudy Friday night will feature a low of 52 with a light wind.

The weekend starts mostly sunny on Saturday with a high near 72. A calm wind becoming east will be 5 to 7 mph in the morning. A similar Sunday will feature partly sunny skies.
