Commuters can expect smooth travel to school, work

Commuters can expect a mostly congestion-free ride to work and school this morning with free flowing traffic.

Interstate 81 and Interstate 476 are congestion free and Highway 309 from the Back Mountain area is free flowing for the most part, with areas of moderate congestion near exits.

Moderate areas of congestion on Route 11 in Forty Fort, Kingston and Plymouth may briefly slow down traffic flow.

Some spots of heavy congestion are noted in downtown Wilkes-Barre, Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and Coal Street.
