A pleasant, mostly sunny day set for Thanksgiving

Don’t shrug off those outdoor holiday activities yet. A pleasant Thanksgiving Day is expected througout the Wyoming Valley on Thursday.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 45 degrees at 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

Today will be mostly sunny and the high will be near 54 degrees. There is no chance or rain in the forecast today to limit holiday activities. Tonight’s low will be around 43.

Black Friday will start mostly sunny with a high near 57. On Friday night, a 30 percent chance of showers will creep into the valley. The low will be around 42.

The weekend starts wil a chance of showers and a mostly cloudy Saturday morning with a high near 47. Saturday night’s low will be around 30.
