Sunny skies are expected throughout the weekend in the Wyoming Valley.

Temperatures are also expected to climb slightly.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 40 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies kicking off the day.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 46. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 32.

Sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 49. Mostly clear skies are expected on Saturday night, with a low around 31.

Sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 52. Partly cloudy skies are expected on Sunday night, with a low around 34.
