Scattered minor traffic congestion could add time onto the morning commute

Some scattered traffic congestion could add a couple of minutes onto the morning commute.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Route 315, while some heavy congestion is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of traffic congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, minor traffic is reported on Mundy and Kidder streets. Minor congestion is also reported on Highland Park Boulevard and extending onto Coal Street.

Downtown, areas of traffic congestion are reported at intersections of various streets. Affected streets include:

• Wilkes-Barre / South Wilkes-Barre boulevards

• East / West Market streets

• North / South Main streets

• North / South River streets

In Kingston, some areas of minor congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue.
