Snow flurries expected in the Wyoming Valley today

There’s a 30 percent chance of snow showers today in the Wyoming Valley, mainly after 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Shovels won’t be necessary. The total daytime snow accumulation will be less than half an inch. The sun will peak out at times, and the high temperature will be near 33 degrees.

Tonight’s forecast: Partly cloudy, with a low around 24 degrees and the chance of precipitation dropping to 20 percent.

Sunday will be sunny, with a high temperature near 37 degrees.

Clouds will return Monday, when the temperature will reach a high near 44 degrees.

As of this morning, the projected forecast for Christmas Day is mostly sunny with a high near 50 degrees.
