Temperatures will climb slightly as the week progresses, but they won’t come anywhere near the abnormally warm temperatures the region has enjoyed so far this winter.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 6 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with a windchill that made it feel like -7.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 26 — the wind chill value could make it feel as low as -6. Clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 9.

Sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, with a high near 36. Mostly clear skies are expected for Wednesday night, with a low around 18.
