Blooms and Bubbles meeting Jan. 20

OLD FORGE — Blooms and Bubbles, the Greater Pittston Chapter of the Red Hats Society, will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Arcaro & Genell’s, 443 S. Main Street, Old Forge at 12:30 pm. WA grad gets Army promotion

WEST PITTSTON — Lawrence Bufalino, a 2005 graduate of Wyoming Area High School and West Pittston resident, has recently taken command of C/2-1 ADA, a U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery Battery currently stationed in the Republic of Korea in which soldiers are responsible for providing immediate air defense against missiles and fixed wing aircraft threats from North Korea.

D’Eliseo makes dean’s list

DALLAS TWP. — Anthony D’Eliseo, son Anthony and Angela D’Eliseo of Laflin, earned dean’s list honors at Misericordia University. Students are eligible for dean’s list status if they have earned a 3.55 grade point average or higher for the 2015 fall semester.

D’Eliseo is pursuing his doctorate of physical therapy.

Pursnani earns dean’s list

BETHLEHEM — Suraj Pursnani, Pittston, was named to the dean’s list at Lehigh University for the fall 2015 semester. This status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

Boyle makes dean’s list

EASTON, Mass. — Wyoming resident Tessa G. Boyle, a member of the Class of 2016 at Stonehill College, earned dean’s list honors for the fall 2015 semester.

Boyle is an interdisciplinary studies and psychology major at the college and also completed an internship at Karen A. Francis-How Speech in North Easton, Massachusetts.
