Augustine named to dean’s list

CHESTER — Kaylin Augustine, of Wyoming, a sociology major at Widener University, was named to the dean’s list for the 2015 fall semester.

The dean’s list recognizes full-time students who earn a grade point average of 3.50 and above for the semester.

Baurys named to president’s list

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Joseph Baurys, of Pittston, has been named to the president’s list at Western New England University for the 2015 fall semester. He is working towards a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Students are named to the president’s list for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.

Tibus makes provost’s list at Hofstra

HEMPSTEAD, NY — West Wyoming resident Katie Tibus achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the fall 2015 semester, earning a spot on the provost’s list at Hofstra University.

Tuck makes dean’s list

WILKES-BARRE — Tyler Tuck, son of Daniel and Albina Tuck, of Shavertown, and grandson of Anthony and Albina Fonzo, of Jenkins Township, was named to the dean’s list at Kings College. The status is granted to students who earn a scholastic average of 3.95. Tuck is pursuing a degree in accounting and completed an internship at Wyman Gordon.

Birthday wishes

Mary Claire Voveris, of Yatesville, will celebrate her birthday Jan. 25. Ronald Voveris celebrated his birthday on Jan. 21.

Tyler and Brandon Lepage, of Hughestown, will celebrate their birthdays Jan. 29.

Renee Valenti, of Exeter, will celebrate her birthday Jan. 29.
