Commuters could encounter some scattered areas of minor traffic congestion on the way into work and school this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476, as well as Routes 315 and 115. The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, some scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion are reported on Kidder and Mundy streets. Minor congestion is also reported on Highland Park Boulevard near Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace.

Downtown, scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Minor congestion is also reported on East Northampton Street, Public Square, North River and South River streets.

Some heavy congestion is also reported on North Main Street in the area of East Union Street, as well as North River Street in the area of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Market Street, while minor and heavy congestion is reported on Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
