The Wyoming Valley could get a decent amount of rain heading into the midweek.

According to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service, a moist low pressure system is expected to produce an inch or so of rain on Wednesday. Areas that still have a snowpack from last week’s snow storm, or that have moist soil, could see some minor flooding in poor drainage areas as well as quick rises in small streams and creaks.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 25 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Bare/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 48.
