Temperatures are expected to cool as the week progresses, and the Wyoming Valley could see a little more snow heading into the weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 32 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.
Partly sunny skies are expected today, along with some isolated snow showers between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The high will be near 36.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected into tonight, with a low around 17.
Sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, with a high near 28. Mostly clear skies will follow into Thursday night, with a low around 13.
Mostly cloudy skies will round out the week on Friday, along with a slight chance of snow showers after 1 p.m. The high will be near 35.
Friday night will also bring a chance of rain and snow showers, along with the possibility of some sleet before 1 a.m. Rain and sleet will then be possible into the overnight hours. Friday night’s low will be around 32.
